Frequently asked questions

How do I set a wallpaper on my iPhone?

Apple doesn't let apps change the wallpaper directly, so it takes three steps:

  1. In MONARQ, open a wallpaper and tap Save to Photos.
  2. Open the iOS Settings app › Wallpaper › Add New Wallpaper › Photos.
  3. Pick the saved wallpaper, adjust it, then tap Add and choose Lock Screen, Home Screen or both.

Shortcut: open the image in Photos, tap the share button › Use as Wallpaper.

"Save to Photos" doesn't work

MONARQ needs permission to add images. Go to iOS Settings › MONARQ › Photos and choose Add Photos Only (or Full Access). MONARQ can never read your existing photos.

What's the difference between Standard and Highest Quality?

Standard is free with no ad and saves a lighter, compressed copy. Highest Quality saves the original full-resolution file, unlocked by watching one short optional video. After unlocking, that wallpaper stays unlocked while you keep it open.

The video ad didn't load

Ads depend on your connection and region. Wait a few seconds and try again, or save in Standard quality. If you chose Ask App Not to Track, ads still work — they're just non-personalised.

How do I change my ad or tracking choices?

Tracking: iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Ad consent (EEA/UK/Switzerland): in the app, Settings › Privacy & Ad Choices.

Where are my favourites?

Tap the heart on any wallpaper; they appear in the Favourites tab. They're stored only on your iPhone, so they aren't transferred to a new device and are removed if you delete the app.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen › Edit › Add Widget › search MONARQ. It shows a fresh wallpaper through the day.

Are there subscriptions or purchases?

No. MONARQ has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

New wallpapers

We add new collections regularly — they appear automatically in the New row, no update needed.
