Effective 23 September 2026 · applies to the MONARQ Wallpapers app for iPhone and its Home Screen widget.
MONARQ is published by Bogdan Szarka, an independent developer ("we", "us"). For anything about privacy, contact exceedapp.info@gmail.com.
We do not ask you to sign up and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or browsing history. We have no servers that store information about you, and we do not sell personal data.
When you tap Save to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add images to your Photos library. MONARQ only writes the wallpaper you chose; it cannot see, read or upload any of your existing photos.
Saving in Standard quality is always free and shows no ad. If you choose Highest Quality, you can watch a short rewarded video provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.). There are no banner or pop-up ads. To show, measure and prevent fraud in ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process:
| Data (collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK) | Purpose | Linked to device | Used for tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers — the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking, and the vendor identifier (IDFV) | Third-party advertising, analytics | Yes | Yes, only with your permission |
| Advertising data (ads shown, ad requests) | Third-party advertising, analytics | Yes | Yes, only with your permission |
| Product interaction (ad views, taps, rewards) | Third-party advertising, analytics | Yes | Yes, only with your permission |
| Performance data (e.g. ad load times) | Third-party advertising, analytics | Yes | Yes, only with your permission |
| Approximate location derived from IP address | Third-party advertising, analytics | Yes | No |
| Crash data and other diagnostics of the ad SDK | App functionality, analytics | Diagnostics: yes · crash data: no | No |
"Linked" means Google may associate this data with your device's identifiers; MONARQ itself never receives or stores it, and has no accounts.
Google processes this data under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Wallpapers and the catalogue are downloaded from content-delivery networks (jsDelivr and GitHub Pages). Like any website, these providers receive your IP address and device type to deliver the files; we do not receive or combine that information. See the jsDelivr and GitHub privacy statements.
The widget downloads the same public catalogue to show a rotating wallpaper. It collects no data and shows no ads.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR/UK GDPR or US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, delete, correct or restrict processing of your personal data, to object, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. Because we hold no personal data about you, most requests are handled by the controls above (tracking choice, consent choice, deleting the app). For data processed by Google, see My Ad Center. You can always write to us and we will help, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
MONARQ is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads are requested as non-personalised where required.
We keep no personal data. On-device data remains until you delete the app. All network connections use HTTPS.
If this policy changes we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
